Aww, that's neat hearing from an old lost friend, Hil! Yay for facebook.
I went to two events today that would've benefited from some sun. Instead, it was COLD. 55 degrees is NOT PROPER JUNE WEATHER. At least, not in the middle of the day. At night, that's fine. Especially not for the solstice festival, and the Dykes vs Drag Queens softball game!
We managed to have a good time anyway. Though realized belatedly that bringing liquor to a softball game sponsored by an AA group was probably a bad move. Oops. (We had been hiding it in flasks and such to hide from the cops, because it was in a park, but then realized the double-bad nature of our move)
Then went to birthday dinner for my new roomie, and home for a bit before going out dancing. WHEW! Tired already.
Picked up a bunch of cards and websites at the solstice festival though, after watching the parade (SO MANY naked bicyclists!), for places I want to spend my money. OMG.
Happy Father's Day to the the Buffista daddies!!!
and the Dykes vs Drag Queens softball game!
Columbus had one of these for a fundraiser called Bat 'n Rouge. If you've never seen a drag queen run in 4 inch heels, it's AWESOME!
Have a fabulous time, Sean! Take lots of pictures, eat great food and get recipes to share! Have fun!
Have a great time Sean.
and Hil, that is the fun part of facebook
Sean, have a wonderful, wonderful time! Oh, you lucky thing.
Buon viaggio and buon appetito!
Have a wonderful time, Sean. Take pictures! Send us the occasional "Having a wonderful time. Wish you were here!"
I just typed this into the "how did we do" end of one of my many chats with customer service about my currently not working new computer.
While having in front of him two previous chats and my explanation that the computer was not talking to the monitor or the keyboard, he still suggested that I update a driver. How? With my brain? When I called him on that, we went through another weary round of "does the power light come on?" which I had also explicitly said in this and previous chats.
Then he pasted in boilerplate for a laptop (I have a desktop) that emphasized the importance of backing up data and removing personal information. I would love to, BUT I CAN'T TALK TO THE COMPUTER.
Also, after finding I'm going to have to send my computer, with all my data on it, into the void, do not wish me a nice day. That ship has sailed.
