I don't blame you, Jilli. Walking pneumonia is a drag. I hope you just have a tough bug.
Spike's Bitches 45: That sure as hell wasn't in the brochure.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
I think I am finally on the mend. So maybe these are just longer than usual bugs. Damn antibiotic everything making bugs with better defenses.
Hey, Jilli, I'm going through my makeup, and I have a whole container of MAC loose eyepowder in fuschia that I bought for a Halloween outfit, and I have used it twice.
It's a very pretty bright pink. You want?
I have an autographed copy of Something Wicked This Ways Comes but it is far from a first edition.
Jilli, whatever you have that's making you feel less than your best, I hope they figure it out, and get you fixed up quickly.
Bweeee! Erin, if you don't want it, I will happily give it a home.
I have an autographed copy of Something Wicked This Way Comes, too. It's the copy I won at my very first convention, when I was a week geekling of about 10. (My dad took my best friend and I to the con. We were in costume as researchers for the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. Yes, we had towels with us.)
So my copy has the movie poster cover (which is gorgeous), and Ray Bradbury signed it for me in 1997, when I met him at Dragon*Con. I also have a photo of him holding Clovis.
In 7th grade one morning, my friend and I were sitting side-by-side and reading before class. I was reading an Agatha Christie and she was reading Ray Bradbury. The teacher walked in front of us, pointed to our books and said, "wow! By the Pricking of my Thumbs, Something Wicked This Way Comes!" What's that called? Synchronicity? Serendipity?
Jilli, just shoot me your addy (profile email) and I will send it to you this weekend.
I've got a bunch of signed books that I picked up at various BookExpo America conventions, but my favorite is the Julie Andrews kids book.
Because I'm in That Sort Of Mood, I just looked up 1st editions of SWTWC. $1,650. Ouch.
