Where'd they get CAT scan from?... I mean, did they test it on cats? Or does the machine sort of look like a cat?

Spike's Bitches 45: That sure as hell wasn't in the brochure.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I've got only a few old books, two from my mom that I really don't care about but keep because they were gifts, and two 2nd-edition MacGuffey Readers that I bought at an Ohio antique store because of their prominence in the Little House books.

We don't have a full-time library store, but they offer sales a few times a year at all the local libraries. At the one where I got my big find several years ago, I didn't get over there until Saturday afternoon, long after all the good stuff had been picked over, so I wasn't expecting to find anything. To get that long-wished-for item was such a thrill!

I just learned about the Bay Area Free Book Exchange. I'm not sure my bookshelves are going to be happy about this...

brillig

I'd have room for my books again if I didn't have housemates. God, I wish I had the room for my stuff again.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

I'm about to pack up boxes of books and take them to the bookseller.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

I packed up a bunch of stuff for the Salvation Army today, but not too many books. There were a few books on CD because I usually don't keep them after I am finished with them. Speaking of which, I'm tired now after errands and cleaning all day. Can someone make my mom go how so that I can become one with the couch for a little while before TCG gets home?

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

Hey, all. I forced myself to stay in bed after downing 2 benadryl and a large glass of wine, so i am actually up! At 1:30 pm!

GO TEAM WILLPOWER! FUCK CANCER!

Of course, I woke to find a wet sploosy hairball on my computer chair, and then, when I went into the kitchen to make coffee, there was an extremely LARGE, extremely LEGGY, extremely WAVY bug on the sliding door to the back porch where the trash is. I promptly shrieked and jumped back about 6 feet, like an alien cat thing.

I thwacked at the door with a kitchen towel, and it scuttled onto the porch, and I slammed the door, locking Arthur onto the porch, poor doggie, but I was hoping he'd earn his keep and kill it. I had to make coffee before I could deal.

I opened up the door, and let the dog in. I was all, Dude, sorry, you have to wait till Dan gets home to go outside (he gets home in 1/2 an hour) because I am NOT going on that porch to kill HUGE WAVY LEGGY bugs before coffee.

Getting up early is UNHEALTHY.

However, I am becoffeed now, and have been answering emails about my girly party/belated bachelorette party next weekend, and I am getting excited! It's been over a year since we've had a girly get away -- we're spending the weekend sans kids and husbands at my gf's house in the Ozarks.

They live out in the woods, and there's a little spring fed river we can hang at all day, and we're making jello shots, and grilling and hanging out, and making breakfast, and just hanging out, and partying and eating yummy food and being silly girls all weekend. I can't WAIT!

Truer words, my dear. Truer words.

I have a doctor's appointment tomorrow! Which is good, because I feel worse today than I did yesterday! If I have walking pneumonia, I am going to be SO MAD.
