I heard back from the school where I had the campus interview. I was their third choice, for two job openings, so I get it if either of the first two turn it down.That's strange to tell you like that. Do you at least get a crown as first runner up or something? Um. I hate to wish ill will of someone, but I hope one of those others says no so you can get the gig.

Hil, I think it's great that out of the hundreds of candidates, you made top three! You might still get it; maybe it's not a good fit geographically (like the one in the South that you turned down) for another candidate, so you'll get the spot.

I've gotten stuff like that from a few schools, when I've asked what the status was. It's way more useful to know something like that than just to be told "We'll get back to you later."
ah, well, I guess that makes sense. Either way, I agree with Javachik, out of the hundreds of candidates, you made #3! That is great. And since 3 is my lucky number, I'm hoping that it was the safety school application for either #1 or #2, which will put you in the drivers seat!

Thanks to all of you for the support on the 18 year old thing. He came to the family event at my house with his girlfriend and a good time was had by all. They took some of his clothes with them. He is staying with her for the time being, as in till her mother has her fill of it. GF is in total agreement on him just finishing HS already and stop the excuses. We'll see how it goes.
