I heard back from the school where I had the campus interview. I was their third choice, for two job openings, so I get it if either of the first two turn it down.
Sent out a bunch more applications today, too.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I thought I had an 11 meeting for a student to return gear. I am in the basement workshop waiting. Where there is no cell service. I was about to forage to the surface to make a call, and I checked my notes. Noon return time. D'oh! At least I've been following the WWDC event online. Oh, in the shower, I came up with "What Will Dorks Crave" as new meaning for the WWDC. And by Dorks, of course, I mean me! I want new phone. But must wait until move is paid off.

Um. I hate to wish ill will of someone, but I hope one of those others says no so you can get the gig.

Second place just means first loser! t /T.Rex
David, really? That's what you post about someone not getting a job she really wanted? Even if it's a quote, I think it's in poor taste.
psst. Trying to help here. No talk of ooser-lay, ok?
Hil, I think it's great that out of the hundreds of candidates, you made top three! You might still get it; maybe it's not a good fit geographically (like the one in the South that you turned down) for another candidate, so you'll get the spot.
That's strange to tell you like that.
I've gotten stuff like that from a few schools, when I've asked what the status was. It's way more useful to know something like that than just to be told "We'll get back to you later."
ah, well, I guess that makes sense. Either way, I agree with Javachik, out of the hundreds of candidates, you made #3! That is great. And since 3 is my lucky number, I'm hoping that it was the safety school application for either #1 or #2, which will put you in the drivers seat!

I think Hil's got a sufficiently developed sense of irony not to take career advice from a Giant reptile.
