Zoe: I thought you wanted to spend more time off-ship this visit. Wash: Out there is seems like it's all fancy parties. I like our party better. The dress code is easier and I know all the steps.

Spike's Bitches 45: That sure as hell wasn't in the brochure.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

move out and draw fire

Also, NORA YOU ARE LIVING IN NEW ORLEANS HOLY CRAP!!!

If you feel like hanging at a local dive, check out the Half Moon. You might even get to see a hooker extraction.

You'll get through this, sweetie.

Or save some money and go with sock puppets instead of actors.

I'm sure Clovis and his minions would be happy to create some dramatic re-enactment footage for you.

You can't leave me to my own devices; my devices are Nap and Eat. -Zenkitty

You'll get through this, sweetie

I really appreciate you saying so, but I don't think that's necessarily true. Sometimes people just don't get better from things.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

Hey Other Agency -

Here's a novel idea: When you change the client information on someone who is not just YOUR CLIENT - like their NAME AND SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER - in the database that we all share, how 'bouts you let the other people know, m'kay??

WTFPOLARBEARBBQ?!?!?

Signed,
Just spent an hour looking for someone in the system who was there all a-fucking-long.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Oh, Sean. I wish there were a quick fix for you. I've had times when

Sometimes people just don't get better from things.
was all I could see. I started saying goodbye to my friends and family, started making plans to kill myself. I'm concerned that's where you are. Please don't. Please talk to your therapist about this, and your friends. Remember that some amazing people love you and would be devastated if you left them in that way.

Ann, that's a ferret.

Sean, a few suggestions. No cure-alls, but things that may help.

Work with your therapist. Call your therapist if necessary. That's why your therapist is there.

Listen to yourself. Take care of yourself. Do things you enjoy.

Do something out of your routine. Doesn't have to be big -- I once got a lift from going into a cafe I'd never been in before and having a cup of tea and a muffin. Wasn't a big lift. Didn't last too long. But it got me through a few hours when I needed it.

It isn't your fault.

Listen to your friends. We don't have all the answers. But we may say a few things worth hearing.

Ann, that's a ferret.

And if Windsparrow is in any way close to the truth, call your therapist NOW.

The status is NOT quo.

I really appreciate you saying so, but I don't think that's necessarily true. Sometimes people just don't get better from things.

Well yes, but just look at those who do. VW is my shining example of a person who has struggled through unspeakable trauma and lived to fight another day. I believe you can too, truly.

The Prozac may not be the best antidepressant for you; definitely call your doctor--I don't know if I would wait until tomorrow. You may want to try another class of drugs, like Wellbutrin or Pristiq (my current wonder drug). It could be that the Prozac hasn't kicked in yet, though. At the lowest dose (and even at a higher one), it often isn't effective at all until you get up to the higher dose for at least a month.

I will say, though, that I started to feel better within a couple of weeks on the drugs that have worked the best for me.

ETA: And please, yes, listen to all the smart people here who love you and have good advice and words of comfort. And PLEASE call immediately if you are suicidal.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

I need to paste this on my fridge every time I wonder how Sarah Palin is popular.

It's because she's Sarah Palin: Rogue Warrior.

{{{Sean}}} I like Fred's idea of going to a strange cafe and having a cup of tea and a muffin. Except I don't drink tea.

Oh Sean. Fred Pete, WindSparrow, and Pix are all very, very wise.
