Yup. "Kink" works fine in this context - no need to water down "fetish."

Okay, then I would say I have a fair number of kinks, but not so many fetishes. Not sure if I'm kinky...it's too hard to find people to do *ordinary* stuff with around here.

I am amazed, looking back, at what embarrassed me, what gave me a little thrill of horror, and what titillated me, and what scared the piss out of me, and how those boundaries got expanded.

I tend to think of kink as anything that turns one on, short of permanent change to the body. Ink and piercings can be kink, but mods beyond those...I understand how some people incorporate those into their definition of kink, or even into body image of how-what they see themsevles. For them, permanent change isn't a boundary, but for me, it isn't one I've been willing to cross, and may never be.
