Right now would be an opportune time to invade Britain, wouldn't it?

Spike's Bitches 45: That sure as hell wasn't in the brochure.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Yes, but The Girl lives there. She knows what's going on. I never been in Britain. How could I vote, just by what I see in the papers? I really think one has to live in a place before letting his/her opinions to determine the course of the country.
(btw - how can she vote, if she's not a citizen?)

Do they even have oil?

Well not now that you've ruined the element of surprise!
Great. All we've got left is fear and ruthless efficiency.
And an almost fanatical devotion to the Pope.
And the nice red uniforms.
I think Buffistas would govern Britain better than we appear to be able to at the moment. Go ahead and invade. I can give you maps. Not secret ones. Atlas of UK roads type maps. But still. Maps.

Yes, probably true.

She's an Irish citizen. Northern Ireland's citizens can vote in Irish elections, and Irish people can vote in UK elections. People whine about it. As someone from an Irish family, I support it wholeheartedly, given the centuries during which Britain screwed the Irish over. (In fact, I think every Commonwealth country's citizens should have the right to vote here if they live here.)

Except for the possibly not entirely ideal climate, many of us would be quite pleased to consider one or more of the British Isles for the location of Buffista Island.
Irish people can vote in British elections, even though they have their own government?!? I had no idea. That's so weird. Is it only if they live in Britain, though? That at least makes a modicum of sense.
