In more 'I am now your foreign correspondent' news, the UK seems to be imploding. Ordinary people running around going "argh, Conservatives, argh!" a lot. I was apparently giving my country too much credit when I argued we could handle a hung Parliament. On the funny side, the BBC news presenters have been on air since early last night and are still going. We are developing theories about what they've been taking.

After all of that election info from you, I went and see if I could vote. Well, no, because you have to have an address in Britain and living abroad less than 15 years. I was excited about the idea of voting (again, am a citizen), but then thought that it might not be so wise after all: I don't really know the politics, after all, and I find it not so ethical. Just as I see blind prejudices towards some of the decisions in Israel from abroad, I'd hate to do it the other way around.
But my, aren't civil rights all shiny, too shiny and flirtatious to resist?

Oh, the number of jokes along those lines we've had on TV and radio shows. There was even a song or two. If we called it a 'balanced Parliament', there'd have been no satire for the past six months.
The BBC people switched off the cameras and went to bed. Which is good 'cause it's 4pm and they started at about this time yesterday.
