Irish people can vote in British elections, even though they have their own government?!? I had no idea. That's so weird. Is it only if they live in Britain, though? That at least makes a modicum of sense.
Spike's Bitches 45: That sure as hell wasn't in the brochure.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Except for the possibly not entirely ideal climate, many of us would be quite pleased to consider one or more of the British Isles for the location of Buffista Island.
I probably have very, very distant cousins in Anglesey.
Well, Navajos can vote in US elections even though they have their own government. Not exactly analogous, I suppose.
Wait, Shir is British?? I'm so confused.
ION- I found the leetle notpad with the measurements of all my furniture. After I sign lease, I can head to my new (dark, empty) apartment and measure out the rooms, and start scheming where to put all my stuff! For tomorrow, the truck load of junk arrives! Wheee! Two days early! (kinda glad I high tailed it that last leg of the trip now).

Yes, they have to be living here. But they don't have to be British citizens.

The Isle of Wight is lovely during the summer. We could have a summer house town there.
My mom was born in Manchester, omnis. After my grandfather died when she was 2 years old, they came here.
Which is why I thought for years he was born there, too. Not so: he was born and raised in Lebanon (the family migrated from Riga, had the base at Rishon LeZion (one of the first settlements in Israel, and had a contract from a wine company to supervise the vineyards of it in Beirut), and accepted a job as a physician in the U.K. 6 years before his passing.
I love my family history. I know very little of it, but it seems like I'm pretty much from everywhere.
We could have a summer house town there.
I support this statement.
My Uncle finally sends me an e-mail that I like: [link] NSFW! "Show Them To Me"
Rodney Carrington is really funny. Didn't expect to like his stuff, but he makes me laugh a lot.
My grandfather's in the hospital with really low sodium. He fell last night and couldn't get up, and they had to call 911. I talked to him this morning, and he sounds fine; he's just weak, and they don't know what the problem is. Please send that patented Buffista~ma Texas-ward.
