Wesley: All right. I'm going to let you all in on something you may have trouble comprehending. I assure you however-- Gunn: Vampires are real. Wesley: I was telling!

Spike's Bitches 45: That sure as hell wasn't in the brochure.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I thought the while ultrasound thing was messy, but whatever--the part that shocked me more was that the doctor can LIE to you about whether the baby has birth defects, and you can't sue!! It is NOT the doctors decision, except apparently in Oklahoma it is.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

I find the second law, the one protecting doctors who decide to withhold information about the fetus, to be a much bigger problem. I mean, would they consider it at all appropriate for a doctor to do in other circumstances? To not inform a patient of the risks of surgery, or withhold information regarding the patient's diagnosis?

HMOG. Epic fucking fail OK. Epic fail.

IOmemeNews: Somehow, in the face of all the bullshit and stress and general douchieness that was brought into my life by my asshole uncle, I managed to get two A's and an A- (and a PASS) in my classes this semester!! Woohoo go me!!

Thrive to spite them

You know I'm really pissed at people who are all HANDS OFF MY HEALTHCARE YOU SOCIALIST BASTARDS

also THE GOVERNMENT IS TOO BIG YOU FACIST BASTARDS

and then support legislation to limit women's access to abortions and other health care.

I wish they'd just be honest, I want government to stay out of my life, but I want the government to control the lives of those I don't agree with.

But that's probably too rational a statement for most of them.

Erin -- not with names, but with enough details that women, especially from small towns or communities, could conceivably be identified anyway: [link]

THE GOVERNMENT IS TOO BIG

Yes, but it's small enough to fit in my cooch, apparently.

Thrive to spite them

Also I heard back from the doctor -- I have a UTI, caused by the same bacteria.

Tomorrow I start IV Antibiotics again. yeah.

I'm hoping I won't be as tired as I was before because I'm not as sick and maybe I can do some half days next week. If not this will be all of my sick leave and all of my vacation leave.

not your mom's socks.

there is so much there that goes beyond "2nd class citizen" and into the very tempting (for some) realm of 'non-person'. Enabling a doctor to LIE in order to protect the doctor's agenda, but not the patient's concerns, the ultrasound "lesson", the ... the fact that this is brought to you by people who could care less about whether those same kids have healthcare later in life... I'm losing it.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

This is horrifying for many reasons, but yet another is that, if I were pregnant with a child who would have special needs, and those could be identified early, I would want to know so that I could have time to read up on it and prepare before I also had a newborn to take care of.
