I hate packing. OK. I'm in the doom of packing areas. The bedroom! Which has my "office" and papers, and tons of dust. Why do I get work spurts starting at 11pm? OK, I got roughly 40% of the bedroom done (square foot wise) but only 10% work wise. Now onto the junky side of the bedroom. :: sigh :: Once this is done, then it will be a lot of small stuff that is easy to pack. Wish me luck!

round one is complete. The high pile of stuff has been first sorted. Pile for the trash, pile for the 'memories' box, and pile to be filed. Sigh. Now onto round two. Sorting and filing pile.

Got an email from the real estate agent this morning. Person living in our condo isn't able to be out until late Sunday. Which would move our move back a week.

Kill. Me. Now.

I'm emailing her back to say, "Uh - no. My lease starts May 1. She needs to get out get out get out."

That is utterly crappy, Aims.

Aims, seriously?? 5 days before you're supposed to move and they pull this? Ummmm. No. Not unless they want to pay for you and your family to live in a hotel for a week. And pay for the storage for your stuff. And pay for the fee for rescheduling movers at the last minute.

Turns out they don't want to do any of that so current tenant will be out! The place won't be cleaned, but whatever. I would have done it anyway and I'll make sure that it is understood that I did it when I moved in. So the move is still on for Saturday. HURRAY!

AND AND AND!! I got an A- in a class I was only expecting a B in so YAY ON THAT TOO!!

Phew, Aims! That would have been a huge PITA.

This. Either the woman who can't move out pays, or the real estate agent pays, but as you said, your lease starts on May 1, and unless the lease you signed allows for the previous tenant to stay through/past May 1, then she needs to get out and/or your real estate agent needs to figure out a fix, FAST.
