Well, personally, I kind of want to slay the dragon.

Spike's Bitches 45: That sure as hell wasn't in the brochure.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Oh, crap, Nora, I'm sorry.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Oh Nora, that's horrible. Your poor mom.

Our wings are not tired

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

That is awful, Nora! Who lays people off the day before Thanksgiving?! I mean, WTFF? Wait till the day after, for fuck's sake.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Oh, crap, Nora, that's awful. Poor mom.

She may be right about no test for Parkinson's. My mom developed a tremor during her illness, and I recall they never tested for Parkinson's; apparently they diagnose by symptoms. (I could be wrong.)

I just started taking Deplin (l-methylfolate, sort of a super vitamin B) which is supposed to enhance neurotransmitters with no side effects (insert sciency description here) and I wonder if it's "enhancing" the Wellbutrin to the point that I don't need to take as much. Other than the physical stuff, though, I feel better than I have in years; that Deplin is good stuff.

the hardest to learn / was the least complicated

Nora, it might be no consolation, but my 63-year-old mom got fired over the summer, and she started a new job last week. (Also, she didn't really start *looking* for a new job until October-ish, so she got hired pretty quickly.) So, new-job-for-mom~ma is free for your mom!

Zen, a tremor like that can be stress-related. t edit My cousin had a significant tremor, and her doctor thought it was Parkinson's, and it turned out to be just stress-related. I know that anecdata doesn't help you, but that's all I got. And stress sounds better than Parkinson's.

Dining room swiffered, swept (yes, I have to do it twice, fucking 5 pets, OMGWHY?)

I feel you. We have 4 very hairy pets in a 900-square-foot house. It's like living inside a vacuum cleaner bag.

Our wings are not tired.

Ugh, that sucks, Nora. I hope she is able to find something quickly.

Not making the Thanksgiving lasagnas until tomorrow. I did make the sauce yesterday.

Today was mostly play. Lovely to see meara. Alas, we had ucky weather and things were rushed all day. I started the day behind schedule and never did get on time for anything. But we have pretty toes and had lobster treats in Fort Lauderdale so I'm calling it a win. Then again, a day that includes a meara visit is always a win. Wishing more Florida like weather for the rest of the visit.

Home now with feet up and GF has the night off work so she is on her way over to drink some wine.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Job search~ma for Nora's mom, and also continuing job search~ma for Jilli and all the other Buffistae who need it.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

Nora, it might be no consolation, but my 63-year-old mom got fired over the summer, and she started a new job last week.

It is definitely a consolation- thanks! She didn't get any severance, to boot.

Ugh, my poor mom- I am furious on her behalf. She has self esteem issues and this will be a bruiser on those, for sure.

Her (wealthier) sister got laid off in her early 60s and was able to afford to retire. Not my mom.
