Dreg: Glory, Your Most Fresh-And-Cleanness. It's only a matter of time-- Glory: Ugh, everything always takes time! What about my time? Does anyone appreciate I'm on a schedule here?! Tick tock, Dreg! Tick freakin' tock!

Spike's Bitches 45: That sure as hell wasn't in the brochure.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

the hardest to learn / was the least complicated

Nora, it might be no consolation, but my 63-year-old mom got fired over the summer, and she started a new job last week. (Also, she didn't really start *looking* for a new job until October-ish, so she got hired pretty quickly.) So, new-job-for-mom~ma is free for your mom!

Zen, a tremor like that can be stress-related. t edit My cousin had a significant tremor, and her doctor thought it was Parkinson's, and it turned out to be just stress-related. I know that anecdata doesn't help you, but that's all I got. And stress sounds better than Parkinson's.

Dining room swiffered, swept (yes, I have to do it twice, fucking 5 pets, OMGWHY?)

I feel you. We have 4 very hairy pets in a 900-square-foot house. It's like living inside a vacuum cleaner bag.

Our wings are not tired.

Ugh, that sucks, Nora. I hope she is able to find something quickly.

Not making the Thanksgiving lasagnas until tomorrow. I did make the sauce yesterday.

Today was mostly play. Lovely to see meara. Alas, we had ucky weather and things were rushed all day. I started the day behind schedule and never did get on time for anything. But we have pretty toes and had lobster treats in Fort Lauderdale so I'm calling it a win. Then again, a day that includes a meara visit is always a win. Wishing more Florida like weather for the rest of the visit.

Home now with feet up and GF has the night off work so she is on her way over to drink some wine.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Job search~ma for Nora's mom, and also continuing job search~ma for Jilli and all the other Buffistae who need it.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

Nora, it might be no consolation, but my 63-year-old mom got fired over the summer, and she started a new job last week.

It is definitely a consolation- thanks! She didn't get any severance, to boot.

Ugh, my poor mom- I am furious on her behalf. She has self esteem issues and this will be a bruiser on those, for sure.

Her (wealthier) sister got laid off in her early 60s and was able to afford to retire. Not my mom.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

Mmm. I got fed. Boyfriend ran to the store for milk and flowers and sweets.

Yay. Green bean casserole is in the oven, ham is marinating in cider for...another hour, say. Then into the oven with you, Mr. Piggy, for a nice, warm 3 hour nap.

And my house is clean. Yay. (Am I a horrid person for being glad my bf has to work Friday, and I will have the whole day by myself to do NOTHING with a fridge full of leftovers and a clean house? I thought not.)

I know my own heart and understand my fellow man. But I am made unlike anyone I have ever met. I dare to say I am like no one in the whole world. - Anne Lister

Nora, ~ma to your mom. That really sucks.

Also forgot to wish a speedy recovery to Sparky's wee K. Poor baby!

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Nora, tons of job~ma for your mom. The poor thing!

We are at the beach. Let the holiday eating and relaxing begin! Oh, and there is internet access, which was in doubt.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Steph, gathering anecdata is better than panicking! I'm going with stress+pinched nerve, and I'll discuss it with my psychiatrist next week. You all are a great help.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

Cranberries and first batch of cornbread are done; bread sponge is set; bird in brine. For tomorrow, second batch of cornbread after we eat half of what should be dressing for breakfast*, roasting, baking, veggies. Then videogames and stock.

*yes, we plan for this.
