Best of luck, Pix.
My boss seems incredibly fair about the time thing. I make it in at 8:05, pretty much, and leave at varying times. But I'm a contractor and I'm not allowed to bill more than 40 hours. I tend to front load the week and work 9 hour days to shorten my Friday, but then I feel guilty leaving before him, like I will today. Especially because he dumped new project on me yesterday. But still! Contractor!
I'm not allowed more than 40 either, which is why I'm out in a few.
I'm out in an hour, if I can bear to walk past his office.
Seems my HR problem here at old job has run it's course. The policy is they do not reimburse for worked holidays. So boss just came up to me and said "why don't you not come in next Wednesday and Thursday. At least give you half of them". My last day is a week from today. Um. OK. Don't know how much of the 'wrap things up' will get done, but ok. Ya, I will miss [boss] when I leave.
Try sauntering.
I am wearing a sassy skirt and boots. It could work.
Bottom line, as long as the work gets done on time, no one really cares.
Same here. We try to keep regular hours so we know when people are available, but no one's punching in and out.
Kristin, I hope the interview goes well!
In a related note, we interviewed a candidate today, and I noticed from her CV that she's at the same company as a former co-worker of mine, so I messaged her and asked if she knew said candidate since we were interviewing her.
Oh, she said, that's why she's "working from home" today.
Ooooops. Luckily, she's an admin and not, like, her boss or something.
Thanks, all! I'm torn between being excited and OMGWTFPOLARBEAR.
Yeah, P-C, I don't recommend doing that again in the future.
