The status is NOT quo.

Congrats for finishing your dissertation, Hil! What an accomplishment!

Tons of job-ma for Tom and Lewis! If there's any extra floating around, the HoS at the place with the director opening said she'd be back on the 7th and looked forward to following up with me after that (interview?). The 7th was yesterday, and I'm hopeful I might hear from her today or tomorrow.

Shir, hang in there.

brillig

Hooray for surgical follow up visits where the doctor says, "Yeah, go ahead, just take a shower, you don't need to cover anything up, just don't push moving in any direction that hurts too much. See you in a month."

My hair is finally clean.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

My doctor is testing me for RA, and I just had the worst blood draw experience ever. The good news is I have steroids and I am getting gelato.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Did you faint?

No, I didn't pass out, but it took 4 needles, 3 flobotimists, and an hour.

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

Interview/job~ma for Tom and Lewis. Oops, and Pixtin!

That's the way to tell the Universe to step off, Shir! Hang in there, toots.

Good news, Connie!

Oh, ugh, sj. Glad you got the steroids, though. I hope it gelps. (I'll leave that typo, because gelato helps, right, so, gelps.)

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Yay, Connie! Ugh, sj. Glad for steroids and gelato.

Job~ma for all my friends!

The status is NOT quo.

At this point I'm just hoping she actually calls me in for an interview. I think if I can get that far, I have a much better chance at the job.

Oh sj, what a nightmare! I'm glad you're getting the drugs you need, at least.

Connie, that's great news! There is nothing like a shower after not having had one for a long time. Nothing.

Drew has been playing with his new iPad, and I want one. I can't have one right now, but I want one. (I spent my tax refund on new clothes and a day of skiing, which was totally worth it. Still coveting the new toy.)
