At this point I'm just hoping she actually calls me in for an interview. I think if I can get that far, I have a much better chance at the job.
Oh sj, what a nightmare! I'm glad you're getting the drugs you need, at least.
Connie, that's great news! There is nothing like a shower after not having had one for a long time. Nothing.
Drew has been playing with his new iPad, and I want one. I can't have one right now, but I want one. (I spent my tax refund on new clothes and a day of skiing, which was totally worth it. Still coveting the new toy.)
Ooof, sj. Glad you're getting steroids and gelato.
I fixed the graphics problems I was having yesterday. I'm not entirely sure what all the code I used means, but basically, I wanted one type of line and kept getting a different type. I found someone else's graphic that had the type of line I wanted, so I copied and pasted the code that I was pretty sure dictated the type of the lines, then fiddled with it a bit until it worked for my graphic.
I also edited five chapters. By this point, I'm mostly just fixing how I'm phrasing things -- I've read through it enough that I'm pretty sure I've caught all the typos already.
And my ankle, which was feeling fine this morning, started killing me about halfway through the afternoon. No clue what started that, but I had to kind of stumble home because it hurt to put too much weight on it.
And, sent out three more job applications, including one to a school in the Virgin Islands. (I don't think I'll get that one -- they seem to be looking for someone with a few years of experience post-grad school -- but I couldn't not apply.)
the job~ma is strong. D had three telephone interviews today and I have a lead on an opening with one of my mom's friend's kids.
Good luck everyone!
The steroids are only a temporary solution according to my doctor, but we have to wait for the bloodwork results to see what the next move is.
I had planned to go grocery shopping this afternoon, but my ankle had other plans. Also, can't stand up for long enough to figure out how to make a meal out of the food I do have. However, I just found out that a Chinese restaurant that I've been wanting to try delivers to my neighborhood, and I can even order online.
I could use some kitty~ma for Mal. taking him to the vet in a half hour . Fingers crossed that his intestines are NOT bound up with my used dental floss and that there's just a ghost dog or something in my house that he was arguing with last night.
Mal~ma.
Still waiting for food. It's been over an hour. I just called to find out what was going on, and the guy who answered the phone said that the delivery guy went out with it "long time ago."
Job~ma for Lewis and Tom
Go Hil! Congratulations on finishing the writing - that's Huge!
Amy I'll whisper this because it sounds like the Triangle is where you're headed but Asheville is gorgeous
Good luck Kristin!
I have food! I ordered from a place that does vegetarian versions of Americanized Chinese food, so I've got fake chicken with cashews, hunan fake beef, and asparagus. And lots of white rice. Mmm.
Jobma for all!
Yikes, erin, keeping my fingers crossed.
Sigh. D wants to get back together and I said no, and it turns out he came to town hoping I would say yes and he could surprise me. So now he's at a bar three blocks away and asking me what's wrong with him. Did I mention sigh?
