Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Did you faint?

No, I didn't pass out, but it took 4 needles, 3 flobotimists, and an hour.

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

Interview/job~ma for Tom and Lewis. Oops, and Pixtin!

That's the way to tell the Universe to step off, Shir! Hang in there, toots.

Good news, Connie!

Oh, ugh, sj. Glad you got the steroids, though. I hope it gelps. (I'll leave that typo, because gelato helps, right, so, gelps.)

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

The status is NOT quo.

At this point I'm just hoping she actually calls me in for an interview. I think if I can get that far, I have a much better chance at the job.

Oh sj, what a nightmare! I'm glad you're getting the drugs you need, at least.

Connie, that's great news! There is nothing like a shower after not having had one for a long time. Nothing.

Drew has been playing with his new iPad, and I want one. I can't have one right now, but I want one. (I spent my tax refund on new clothes and a day of skiing, which was totally worth it. Still coveting the new toy.)

Ooof, sj. Glad you're getting steroids and gelato.

I fixed the graphics problems I was having yesterday. I'm not entirely sure what all the code I used means, but basically, I wanted one type of line and kept getting a different type. I found someone else's graphic that had the type of line I wanted, so I copied and pasted the code that I was pretty sure dictated the type of the lines, then fiddled with it a bit until it worked for my graphic.

I also edited five chapters. By this point, I'm mostly just fixing how I'm phrasing things -- I've read through it enough that I'm pretty sure I've caught all the typos already.

And my ankle, which was feeling fine this morning, started killing me about halfway through the afternoon. No clue what started that, but I had to kind of stumble home because it hurt to put too much weight on it.

And, sent out three more job applications, including one to a school in the Virgin Islands. (I don't think I'll get that one -- they seem to be looking for someone with a few years of experience post-grad school -- but I couldn't not apply.)

The steroids are only a temporary solution according to my doctor, but we have to wait for the bloodwork results to see what the next move is.
