Yes! Much ~ma to Kristin. (I'm sort of distracted at the moment since I'm wrangling two children who are out of sorts due to DST and extra out of sorts due to their new schedule.
Spike's Bitches 45: That sure as hell wasn't in the brochure.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Not to mention I already have additional work to throw your way, if only you were out here now now now.Ya, I know. And that is one of the intangibles that push me towards yes.
omnis, don't forget to factor in that moving costs money, even if they pay for the actual movers. Also, if this is the very top of the range they can offer, what does that mean in terms of future raises and funding for the department?Ayup. They will pay 50% of moving costs up to $3k. Coincidentally enough, 2 years ago, the movers alone cost $3k to move TO Texas. So, I'm looking at about $1500-1800 debt to take the job. As for raises, my understanding is everyone at the uni gets the same raises (or lack there of) when they happen. But the past 2-6 years have seen poor raises. Of course, one could say as the economy turns around, raises are due.
I'm sorry to just jump in here but I had my first day at my new job today and it was great. I have an office, co-workers who seem decent, and a bunch of cases I'm now responsible for. It's crazy because I *know* I'm a "real" lawyer, and have been for a while, but this just feels like even more "real".Jump in any time with news like that! That is great! Congrats!
I'm about to mail my job application for the Director position. Meep! Job~ma would be appreciated.Tons of job~ma! You'll be awesome!
eeek! Bitches is turning into the jobs thread.
{{{DCJ}}} so much love and strength to your mom + whole family, and a peaceful passing with love all around him for Ray.
I'm trying to not be so annoyed at my mom about her guilt-tripping me. They've had no power since the storm on Saturday night, and she's going kind of stir-crazy.
Oh DCJ, tons of ~ma to you and yours.
healing and peace ma to you and yours , Daniel
Tons of ~ma, Daniel.
Codeine usually dulls my pain and puts me to sleep. Every once in a while, for some reason, it does nothing for the pain and leaves me wide awake and really anxious. This is one of those nights.
I've read... and sent ~ma and good thoughts and love to all and sundry who need them. Worried about Daniel's mom.
Daniel, all possible good thoughts to your mom.
Beth, Matt, Shir, those others of you dealing with end of pet life decisions, my sympathies, and belief you'll make the right decision at the right time.
Stephanie, congratulations on the great day.
Kristin, you're absolutely correct, you don't owe them anything. Time to be good to yourself and your family.
