The starting the day in the dark stuff sucks. Don't wanna do it again tomorrow, and yet.
I thought it was a fuse because there was heat but no fan. But this afternoon, there was plenty of air blowing so maybe it was frozen? I'm not quite so worried for tomorrow because it's not snowing tonight.

omnis, don't forget to factor in that moving costs money, even if they pay for the actual movers. Also, if this is the very top of the range they can offer, what does that mean in terms of future raises and funding for the department?Ayup. They will pay 50% of moving costs up to $3k. Coincidentally enough, 2 years ago, the movers alone cost $3k to move TO Texas. So, I'm looking at about $1500-1800 debt to take the job. As for raises, my understanding is everyone at the uni gets the same raises (or lack there of) when they happen. But the past 2-6 years have seen poor raises. Of course, one could say as the economy turns around, raises are due.
I'm sorry to just jump in here but I had my first day at my new job today and it was great. I have an office, co-workers who seem decent, and a bunch of cases I'm now responsible for. It's crazy because I *know* I'm a "real" lawyer, and have been for a while, but this just feels like even more "real".Jump in any time with news like that! That is great! Congrats!
