Yeah, one would think. Honestly right now I am sitting here feeling very bad for her. Despite how angry and upset I was yesterday, I do understand that she is sick and needs help. She is desperate that we don't call the police or landlord when these things happen, but we don't know exactly how to explain to her that we are not comfortable physically confronting her when she is obviously not in control.

ION- last night went and saw ALICE IN WONDERLAND at the midnight showing. Good flick. But then group wanted to go out for pancakes this morning. So set alarm to go for breakfast. In the rain! Ah, the price of being social. BUT! they had a Dutch Baby at the pancake place! And I got it! It was yummy. not quite AIFG, but yummy.

Black out drunk. She seems to function well M-F, but Friday night she drinks heavily, gets very loud, and mostly on Saturdays she is out of control. This also coincides with the fact that she has custody of her teenage daughter on the weekends, who usually has friends over. It really is a mess.
She is desperate that we don't call the police or landlord when these things happen, but we don't know exactly how to explain to her that we are not comfortable physically confronting her when she is obviously not in control.
Not notifying the proper authorities about her being out of control is a great way to protect her from the consequences of her addictive behavior. Protecting her from the consequences of her behavior will only prolong the amount of time it takes her to hit bottom and get help.
