I could eat breakfast potatoes every day, and have tried. Covered in bacon and salsa. Num.
Spike's Bitches 45: That sure as hell wasn't in the brochure.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
I am in the Hec "runny yolk" camp of egg lovers. And I wish I had the bucks to buy that egg poacher, 'tis a thing of beauty.
I wish I had an app that would white font the word "runny."
Anyone tried this? Make Scrambled Eggs and Bacon in the Oven
My church growing up did that for large breakfasts. The eggs taste fine, but they can get unappealing greenish/greyish sections toward the middle.
It was chef's choice plate, and really? What was chef thinking? I fail to get the possible appeal.
We got sea urchin on a chef's choice plate, and it was...not very appetizing.
Runny eggs seem like not really food to me. I can't quite bring myself to eat fried or poached eggs no matter how firm they are, though.
Funnily enough, the scrambled egg on rice thing that the sushi chef at our local place sometimes will just give us because he's nice always strikes me as quite edible.
Count me in the runny yolk corner. I love getting bacon and eggs over easy, and using the bacon to dip in the yolk. And the leftover yolk makes great moppings for toast.
I also like scrambled eggs a little on the wet side; they always seem to rubbery if they are dry.
But a well-prepared eggs benedict is my favorite brunch option. Though I tend to guild the lily by ordering a side of bacon with it.
scrambled egg on rice thing
I love throwing a fried egg in with our homemade rice burrito bowls. So. Good.
Yah, I had a fancy sushi last time I was in hawaii and there was one piece that was just wrong. Like a big hard chunk of rubber. Bleh.
Scrambled eggs should be cooked on low heat and scrambled. Which involves moving them around. Which makes them fluffy. Nom.
