I always thought the name Serenity had a vaguely funereal sound to it.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Hello, Lilty! ...Lilty?

Yay for driving and not doing any more accounting, respectively, Wallybee and billytea!

Eggs cooked in olive oil taste funny. Eggs must be cooked in butter.

If I'd been unschooled, I'd probably have learned math, sans the terror of my fifth grade teacher. I taught myself to read and read everything I could get my hands on.

Cass, that's one of the best life stories I've ever heard.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

I'm going to pimp again the ATK scrambled egg technique where you freeze the butter, cut it into chunks and stir in with the beaten eggs and then cook over very low heat. They are awesome, even made with egg substitute.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

The other day I fried some eggs in scallion oil (to put on top of a Taiwanese noodle bowl) and they were extra-nummy. But for breakfast, butter is absolutely necessary.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Eggs cooked in goose grease!

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Use whatever lube ya like, just keep your mitts off the spatula until they are almost done.

brenda, that sounds so good I'm going to go freeze some butter right now. Also, if I had goose grease, I'd cook an egg in it. Hmm, I wonder how eggs taste cooked in bacon grease? The key here seems to be "animal fat" not "vegetable oil", for me.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Eggs in bacon grease are also excellent, I can vouch.

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

I missed Lilty! Lilty must come back.

So, it sounds like there's a half a dozen different ways to make good scrambled eggs. I need to learn just one of them! Heh. They're my worst egg dish, probably because I get impatient and stir them too frequently.

Ann, that's a ferret.

Hi, Lilty!

“Not dead yet!”

Use whatever lube ya like, just keep your mitts off the spatula until they are almost done.

Heh, I do the low heat, set for a couple of minutes, then slowly push into curds method. Comes out perfect for me every time.
