For Suzi and Raq:
Check out Bobby Cassevah and Josh Donaldson at A's Spring training.
Best friends since they were five years old, played on little league and high school teams growing up, now they're both in the same system and have a chance to play together in the majors.
(Cassevah's new, a Rule 5 pickup. Donaldson is a top prospect catcher still in the minors).
Wild. I can't imagine how I'd feel if Emmett and one of his Little League teammates made it to the bigs, much less played together. So freakin' unlikely.
The new guys on the A's are kind of burly lumberjack types.
Check out Kouzmanoff and Sheets.
In light of the Monopoly for girls, I give you Pink Stinks
Pinkstinks is a campaign and social enterprise that challenges the culture of pink which invades every aspect of girls' lives.
This site is for parents and non parents alike, and aims to gather support, promote discussion and ultimately to mobilize that support to influence marketeers and the media about the importance of promoting positive gender roles to girls.
At least Monopoly-for-girls is still a fully functioning game.
Yeah, except it teaches girls that their choices in life are going to the beauty salon, the spa or the mall. Although that telescope is a total scandal.
Ugh. I hate the pink backlash. I just wish they'd make pink stuff in the same strength as the non-pink stuff. My pink handwraps aren't as long as my black handwraps, and the pink boxing gloves don't come in 14oz weights, so you can't spar in them.

That was what my feminism rant this morning was about. Good site, that!
Wait. I don't remember showing my boobies to Buffistas at large. Are you extrapolating from how well they fill out a semi-colon t-shirt?
I'm pretty sure I've seen them in just a bra. And in shirts cut low enough that the quality was evident.
Even when they're "covered", Buffista women like to show off the girls.
I don't think that the Buffistas at large have seen my boobies. Juliana and smonster have enjoyed the largesse, possibly meara, but I can't think of anyone else.
*sigh* I remember a time when it was rare to be in a group where no one had seen me naked. Good times.
It's kind of funny inthe ironic sort of way that Joe's shooting a film for class most of the weekend, so I will be bribing our child into submission by creating a Fancy Nancy bedroom for her.
Which is ALL pink and purple.
Or rather, fuschia, which a fancy way of saying purple.

What about Pomegranate Mist?
