Spike ,'Never Leave Me'

Spike's Bitches 45: That sure as hell wasn't in the brochure.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

No stealing cabbages!

Yeah, that might lead to Evil Witches wanting things from you or something, isn't that how it goes? Make sure if you steal cabbages you steal them from a good witch's garden...

I went and looked at a house today. As in, contemplating buying houses kind of looking. What a scary thought. This house would be nice for several reasons, but am not sure if Right House would "grab me" or what. It is possibly the only house currently on the market that I could afford/would want. But...

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

My blood pressure went up because I got a second chronic condition. My feeling is that high blood pressure is most likely a symptom of something not right. i am going to guess that even losing weight --which would possibly improve both my asthma and diabetes - I would still need pills for high blood pressure. Most of my doctor experiences have been pretty neutral. Only one annoyed me -- because i had that stupid bronchial cough that kept me up at night - he dismissed it and gave me something that did nothing- at the way low does he gave me. I'm kind of glad I encounter him. He is the reason I look up everything in the PDR or equivalent. Because what he gave me did work at the therapeutic dose.

Good luck Drew. Low fat is hard on the road, but less pain is worth the trouble

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

Whoo! If smonster stops by, I am proud to announce that I have recruited my friend L. for Historic Green! Hec's met her, she was Tom's boss's wife (she is still M's wife, but M is no longer Tom's boss.)

Hot diggety damn!

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

Glad to hear the problem was with a "non-essential" organ, Drew. I've known others who had their gall bladder removed and all it meant was some dietary adjustments that they found easy to live with.

Have taken the dog on four walks, today. I think I definitely got my share of sunlight for the day. And he's been good for my back, too. I woke up this morning feeling a lot better than I have all week. It was like sleeping with a heating pad on my back all night and it seems to have loosened up the muscles around the part that was bothering me. The daughter may not get him back when she gets home.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Hec's met her, she was Tom's boss's wife

Oh yeah, she was fun.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

See, this is why I'm skeptical:

until engorgement subsides. This will usually be within one to two days.

Because 1-2 days is about when it would usually go away on its own, one way or another. OTOH, how much does a cabbage cost, $2-3? So I can't really see the harm in trying either.

Plus, instant coleslaw.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Ugh. My right shoulder is hurting in exactly the way my left shoulder did when there was calcification in the joint. I really do not need this now.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Cabbage is cheap. IIRC, some decongestants can help with the dry out, too.
