Oooh. A university where I applied and didn't get the job just sent me an email saying that they just got authorized to hire another person and they invited me to apply for that job. The job that I originally applied for is one that I'm not quite qualified for yet -- they might hire someone right out of grad school, but it's more likely that they'd hire someone who's been working for a few years -- but the new one is a slightly lower-level position that I'm definitely qualified for.
Spike's Bitches 45: That sure as hell wasn't in the brochure.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
WOE! I can't watch Leverage, Netflix won't let me yet! Why? WHY?!?!? It always is up by Thursday evening.
I'm running an "Olympics" camp this week at my school. We've actually spent a lot of time on the mascots. They're quite fun. I even have their story book, which the kids quite love. I think Sumi is their favorite mascot.
They also decided today that they were not very interested in curling.
They had technical difficulties, Nora. Apparently it was up but only the first 23 minutes.
ok, that explains why it appeared as an option but wouldn't play.
I am still bereft!
This "moussaka" is tasty but it doesn't remind me of any I ever had in a restaurant so I looked it up. I don't know what these cookbook authors were smoking but there is no eggplant & no bechamel sauce in this dish. It's made with sprouts and a lot of cheese. I can find no evidence that moussaka was made this way in 1974. Maybe they copied the recipe out of an old family cookbook with the pages stuck together.

That's good stuff, Hil. Good luck with it.

"A layer of ladyfingers... a layer of custard, which I made from scratch...a layer of jam... a layer of ground beef sauteed with peas and carrots...another layer of custard..."
"Custard? Goooood! Beef? Gooood! Trifle? Goooooood!"
It tastes like feet!
