"Custard? Goooood! Beef? Gooood! Trifle? Goooooood!"
Spike's Bitches 45: That sure as hell wasn't in the brochure.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
It tastes like feet!
I checked out the rest of the "classic ethnic dishes". Most of them look pretty good but their lasagne has cheddar cheese and sour cream in it.
That sounds encouraging, Hil.
{{smonster}} It is good that kitty was so loved.
I'm eating popcorn for dinner. It got too late. Was at the first Regional basketball game tonight. Boys are now 26-0.
Meals are going to be tricky until Easter. I gave up cheese for Lent. It is the most calorific food I eat so I figured it would be good for my diet, my cholesterol, and to test allergies. I have a persistent cough that my doctor has declared allergies but I haven't bothered to track down the culprit. So no cheese for Lent and we'll see how the waist, blood, and lungs respond.
Laura, I had a friend whose daughter had a dairy allergy and it presented as a persistent cough/cold-like symptoms. She was hospitalized several times before she was 3 for pneumonia. One she quit eating dairy, she thrived.
I knew that dairy allergies can present that way so I figure it is worth the effort. Sad to give up my most favorite food, but if it does eliminate the chest congestion it will be good to know the cause finally. After 2 whole days I have to say I think it has improved considerably. Wah! (I better lose a lot of weight for this level of sacrifice)
Good luck, Hil!
Laura, that's rough. Can you still have goat cheese?
I'm not sure on the goat cheese. If the Lent test proves my life is better without dairy I will test goat cheese because my cheese love is strong. Also, goat cheese is yum.
For some reason, avocado usually works really well at fulfilling a cheese craving.
FWIW, Amazon Video on Demand has the Leverage season finale up. It costs a couple bucks to watch it.
