I'm 17. Looking at linoleum makes me want to have sex.

Ann, that's a ferret.

I'm torn between "shun 2020" and "how do we know 2021 is going to be any better?"

Our wings are not tired.

I have to believe 2021 will be better. Of course I confess to being a determined optimist at my core. But, we will have a new president, and we will get a vaccine for Covid. That has to be better.

What is even happening?

so are we just shunning 2020? cause I don't mind

In the larger sense? LET'S.

In terms of this thread, it doesn't change every year (although it usually gets closed and reopened). Goodbye and Good Riddance gets a new thread each year. I think we were waiting for the stank of the election to subside before we did that one.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Welcome back lurkers! Come and play! You are missed!

I think Goodbye and Goodriddance opens December 1st.

Our wings are not tired.

I could well be wrong, and won't search for the real answer, but I think Delurking is a yearly October event in this same thread. But I am good with people delurking whenever they want to through the year. Delurk already!

Our wings are not tired.

Yes it was usually opened once a year.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Anyway, lots of people are just nattering and that seems fine!

"In the equation E = mc⬧, c⬧ is a pretty big honking number." - Scola

I feel like I've delurked a couple times and I may no longer be eligible. Is there an amount of lurking time that qualifies you for delurking, do people think? Not a rule, obviously, but a guideline to keep me from popping up every day with "Here again! Did you miss me?... Not yet?"

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Hi, Emily! I delurked twice, I can't say anything. Welcome back again!

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

You can delurk as many times and as frequently (or in-) as you like! I declare it to be so.

Always a treat to see your pixels, Emily

Also, linear time has become meaningless so don’t sweat how that affects anything
