I love this battle. Cracks me up every time. As Loki just attacked me for farting AGAIN. But he's really fucking cute and lovey when I'm not a bean soup victim. And even when I am (he transitions fast.)

I've posted in here a couple of time but I didn't really say anything about how I found my way to the Buffistas.

I've been here since a few months before the LA F2F. It was Aurelia who led me to the board. We were chatting in IM and she kept copying some witty conversation for me to read and I finally asked where it was coming from. She'd found Buffistas due to Firefly I believe. Anyway, I popped over, looked around, and delurked in Natter that night. I've been here ever since.

Buffistas have been with me through quite a few life moments, many of them dealing with my somewhat crazy family. The whole event of finding out that I was adopted played out in posts on the board. I've made what I consider lifelong friends on this board and I've been fortunate enough to meet a great many of you on my travels both for work and pleasure. I've also been able to meet so many of you at all of the F2F events. I believe the only big ones I missed were Chicago and Atlanta.

I met the woman that I'm in love with through this board. We've been living together for years now and I'm finally marrying PixKristin this January in Hawaii.

All of you helped me in dealing with it when my father was diagnosed with cancer and then died less than a month later.

My life wouldn't be the same without this board and without the people here. My life is richer because of all of you and I'm a better person because of all of you. I can't imagine not having all of the Buffistas as part of my life, and to be honest I wouldn't want to image that.

So yeah, there it is. I'm so glad that I found this wonderful, crazy, angry making, thoughtful, challenging, perverted, loving, kinky, diverse pace. It's the best place in the world.

Damn it, NoiseDesign, how can I follow that with more cat natter?!

Pretty much cats, I guess. But with slim odds that they'll support you in your dotage, which almost never happens with cats. Occasionally, sure you'll get a beneficent, dotage-supporting cat. But they're pretty rare.

No, but most likely, if you drop dead and aren't discovered for a while they will put your remains to good use. Granted, so will dogs given enough time, or so I found out from the X-Files.
