As long as I don't have to smell the bleu, I'm fine with it.
Washington State. The first trip is from Spokane to Okanogan and other county seats back to Spokane. The second round should fly me into Portland and up through Seattle.
Okanogan (I hate the US spelling, drat it!) is beautiful. Totally lacking in much of anything, but rich in natural beauty! Especially once you cross the border and it gets the a back in the middle.
Seattle, eh? Hmm....

Totally! I grew up in the Okanagan, and that o is just weird.
Is there really a fabled lake monster called Ogopogo in the lake in Okanogan? I read a YA novel written in the 60's which took place there, and the main character made ceramics with the Ogopogo on them.
Ogopogo totally lives in Lake Okanagan. Ceramic figures are pretty much a tourist staple.
I have always wondered about Ogopogo. Now I know!
Last night's supper was spinach, a honeycrisp apple, bleu cheese and egg with a raspberry dressing.
hmm, I have all of these things except raspberry dressing, but I'm sure that balsamic would work as well. perhaps I have a plan for dinner now. hmmm.
Anyone who's had issues with bleu cheese should give Roaring Forties a go. It's got an almost sweet flavor with a hint of salty overtones, which makes it lovely for snacking on with fruit.
Nom nom nom...
