I've never noticed anything when other people closer to the source have talked about the noise--I figured it was more on the level of truck noise--easy to mistake for something else. But this was not like traffic or anything else easy to pass off.
Both times I've heard it, it sounded like a large boulders falling onto the roof, one after another. Cody recognized it at once.
I think my NyQuil was defective.
I wish I had some NyQuil. I can't sleep and my head is full of snot. Blech.

Thanks to the Bay Area's freaky micro-climate thing, there was just a thunder and lightening storm about 5 or 10 miles away even though it's only somewhat cloudy here.
Turns out, Ditaboo is really not a thunder fan.
Either I've forgotten what thunder sounds like, or that was a ridiculously loud thunderclap.
I hadn't even realized it was raining.
