See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

WOW.

Gigantic thunderclap (no rain, just thunder) -- lasted several seconds and shook the building, and sent Emmett running in asking if there'd been an earthquake. We may get hail, too. Definitely a day for hiding indoors as much as possible.

I actually thought it might be an explosion, thankfully the rain immediately confirmed it wasn't.

I was about to get dressed for a walk at Lands End. I guess not.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Yeah, the only reason I was sure was I saw the lightening first. That sucker was LOUD.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Okay, I've started running out of Buffistas whose full names I know on Facebook. If you would like to friend me, e-mail your name to my profile address. It is also okay not to friend me -- I will not be interesting on FB.

I have to go to two social events today. Blargh.

OK, did a few errands, still have a few more to go and a walk and a swim to do. I'll hit up Hampdenfest tomorrow when the weather looks more stable. Tomorrow night, cookout at friends'. But first, I have to wrangle 35 lbs of cat to the vet for their shots.

I should do a load of laundry or something. Don't wanna.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

Definitely a day for hiding indoors as much as possible.

Seriously. I saw the lightning flash, but until the thunder, I was trying to figure out why I was seeing the sparking from the electric bus lines 3 blocks over. And why it was so high in the sky.

No run for me this morning, that's for sure.

Has anyone here seen the Canadian series Durham County? Is it season pass good?

Meh. I saw the first ep, and, well, meh. But I'm also not a big fan of the cop genre.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

My cable and internet and everything just went out for a while. It was surprisingly difficult to find the cable company's phone number without the internet!

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

I find this really odd that we are flying to the east coast and haveing thunder. Seriously, we have less than one thunderstorm a year here.

Compassionately intolerant

So sorry to hear your bad news aurelia. Best of luck for something wonderful coming to you very soon. I hope the SG-A eps helped. (I watched 6, or so eps of SG-1 last night myself. Great stuff in the background when cleaning.)

My power went out for a couple of hours yesterday afternoon. It was a limited outage and I've heard nothing about the cause.

Given the date, some folks here on the Hill were a bit tense. Thank goodness it was only a few blocks in radius. If you can get to the CVS a couple of blocks away, people seem to stay calm.
