Now, I can hold a note for a long time...actually I can hold a note forever. But eventually that's just noise. It's the change we're listening for. The note coming after, and the one after that. That's what makes it music.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

Love it Lisah!

Coming out of a long writing snap is always like just waking up after being asleep for a few months. Unanswered emails, my apartment is a total wreck and needs a top to bottom cleaning, and I'm a month late for a dental cleaning.

I don't think I actually have any work people friended on FB, but I try to keep in mind that anything I post has the (minuscule) potential to end up on Gawker or ValleyWag.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

This is why I don't have work people friended on FB. Boundaries!

My BB is on the worst list, but I use headphones any time I'm on it for long (conference calls, etc.) so I hope I'm okay.

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

I don't have any current work people on my fbook (thus my joking about taking over our website earlier), but I do have former coworkers, and our industry is pretty incestuous* so I don't expect to be current coworker free for long.

*My Bff since HS freshman year is a recruiter for my industry and got me my last position, a girl she worked with got me my current position and New new girl her position, they both worked with another friend who was going to be interviewed for this position before they decided to just go with me. 3 of my current coworkers were placed by BFF. 2 of my new coworkers were from my old company who is also an agency for current company.

“Not dead yet!”

I find myself wanting a new pair of boots.

These have caught my eye.

Thing is, I don't need a new pair of boots.

Cute, Barb. These may not be your style, but they are much cheaper and may satisfy the urge. [link]

Oh man, that's like a smorgasbord! Problem is, I have such wide calves, a lot of boots don't even fit me. I usually have good luck with Frye (of course I would, what with the being expensive and everything...)

This is what I get for years of competitive figure skating and drum corps.

These are a little more, but still cheaper [link]

From the 1st link, I have a couple of pair. They tend to not be real leather or stiff, so they stretch to fit. You wouldn't want to lend them out though.

I need these for...I don't know, something! [link]

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

Curse you, Barb, and your thoughtless footwear linkage. Two minutes ago I didn't know these boots existed, and now I weep that I shall never own them.
