Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Concert was good, though if I never see another guy in a grass skirt and coconut bra it will be too soon...

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Sophia, that's a pretty fine insight, and I'm glad you shared it.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Discovery of the day: TJ's Mini morning buns are YUM, especially after you sprinkle more cinnamon on them.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

We've been here for an hour and a half already. First match about to begin. Juan carlos ferrero vs. Gilles simon. Mac has a free radio and electric fan already. He loves the giveaways, not so much the waiting.

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

I am liberal, but I think most people are good. I think we would like to help everyone, but as individuals, we don't really have a way of doing it. I don't actually have the money to buy a doctor's visit for someone, but I don't actually mind paying taxes that will give someone good health care.

Anyway, bar has a bbq today, and I'm trying to figure out optimum time to leave and arrive so as to a) see the most people I want to hang out with and b) not get completely trashed. Hubby's cooking all day (and night) so I kind of want it to be as late as possible.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I don't think presumption of innate human goodness is a core conservative value.

I think the presumption that everybody is responsible for their actions and circumstances is the basis for conservative thought.

I agree with Hec. Isn't one conservative value that people are innately selfish, but by pursuing their own self-interests they make markets more efficient?

ION, go here: [link] and scroll down a bit:

The Reconstructed Glory of the "Amber Room"

Built by German and Russian craftsmen in 1701-1709, this incredible room in the Catherine Palace of Tsarskoye Selo near Saint Petersburg is often called the "Eighth Wonder of the World"

Holy shit.

Then scroll down a bunch more to the "Incredible Uninhabited Island." Perhaps not the best location for Buffista Island, but a good location for Buffista Secret World Domination Plan Island Fortress.
