Cashmere you are welcome to join my family. You get one of the coolest 86 year old Moms either who rocks out in a Senior Rock n' Roll choir, tells stories about her days in Hollywood, and as a labor organizer in the 40's.

Oh seperate post. Went out for Pho today. As I was paying my bill heard the blonde lady in front of me talking to the cashier in Vietnamese. Finally, the cashier asked her (in English) "so what part of Vietnam did you learn the language in?". The blond lady said "North Carolina" and they both laughed. I take it there is a large Vietnamese community in North Carolina? Can't think of another obvious interpretation of that joke.

Still he loved it and was there about 3 hours more than he thought he would be. I got sun yesterday which is NOT good given I will be in sun for 2 more days. must bathe in sunblock.

My normal plan of action for days at the open is thwarted. the small court we usually go to first, where we literally get front row seats, is women's doubles this morning instead of men's singles. I guess this is why I normally go on Saturday day.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

I posted and ran last night, but I agree with the darker strain of conservatism. The realization I had helped me understand why people who seemed good and reasonable were also conservative. And wrong, I think. They just believe that everyone will act as they would, when actually most people seem ti be selfish idiots, or, at best just trying to keep their own head above water.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

You're saying I should have waited downstairs with him for the shuttle even though I was still in my inside pants, and I should have emailed him before midnight his time to find out how he was and to be a good compliant daughter.

Am not!

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Concert was good, though if I never see another guy in a grass skirt and coconut bra it will be too soon...

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Sophia, that's a pretty fine insight, and I'm glad you shared it.
