this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

There's a new labeling system, designed by food manufacturers, to put a green check mark on foods that are "healthier choices." Among the foods that qualified for the check mark are Froot Loops and mayonnaise.

This right here is why America is INSANE.

Okay, that and teabagger birther anti-healthcare-reform wingnuts.

But also the "healthy" Froot Loops.

Plus I hate the way "Froot" is spelled in "Froot Loops," although god knows it's more appropriate because there is NO WAY there can be any honest-to-god fruit in Froot Loops.

Froot Loupes would be cool. Probably break some teeth, though.

Have I mentioned I had a LOT of beer tonight and just got home? Good times.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I'm pretty sure it's on the person going somewhere to report back when they've arrived OK.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Froot Loops are 41% sugar by weight. Which puts them right at the maximum sugar allowed for breakfast cereals to get that check mark.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Now I'm not sure if I ever do...

Fat lot of good those check marks are doing, then! I do get Froot Loops cravings, but never enough to buy an actual box of them, because...ick.

But they also have fiber, and added vitamins A and C. Therefore, healthy.

I'm not saying you have to!

Now tagless for your comfort.

I've always been a hobbesian liberal

I'm more of a Calvin and Hobbesian liberal.

I'll stick with my Special K, which is just Rice Krispies pretending to be grown up.

I'm not saying you have to!

Yes, you are. You're saying I'm a bad person. You're saying I should have waited downstairs with him for the shuttle even though I was still in my inside pants, and I should have emailed him before midnight his time to find out how he was and to be a good compliant daughter.

I know what you're up to, missy.

I did not know this site needed to exist. They probably make decent money from advertising too.
