Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.

Now I want a potato sandwich.
Hi everybody! Thanks for the birthday wishes for Frances. She feels like she is a very big girl.
We just came home from a late summer vacay, and I had to teach today. A bit discombobulated, but we had fun.
I have nothing to add to the healthcare discussion except that opposition to affordable heathcare still makes me seethe with rage. And to Hec, there's a book you may want to check out called Free.

Wow, that's the second time that book has been mentioned to me today in wildly different contexts. One of those moments of freaky Internet convergence.
But that's like an old English tradition. I remember the Bay City Rollers making "chip butties" on Dinah Shore's Show.
Is that fries or potato chips?
Someone invented a new food thingie! The "Silly Rabbit," which is "French toast breaded in crushed Trix cereal."
I've seen recipe for salmon breaded in chips.
Speaking of freaky internet convergence (not to mention my field is freaky small but octopuslike): lisah, my dad does know/remember that Matthew.
Dan Savage, the foul-mouthed, openly gay, syndicated sex columnist and Chicago native, could be getting his own HBO series if all goes well.
Savage has been in L.A. all month working on a pilot episode based on his "Savage Love" column, that most Chicagoans know from its weekly spot in the Reader.
The show will “focus on current events and cultural trends with sex as the filter."
“I'm hoping to bring a new kind of conversation to TV about sex--an honest conversation, one that's informed without being (too) wonky, funny without being (too) cruel, sexy without being (too) cheesy. Basically, my sex-advice column--but on the teevee!” Savage wrote on his blog, the Slog.
HBO Could Get "Savage"
Oh not Micheal Savage, that's probably for the best.
Interesting idea Hec. ::informs The Man::
See also, sandwiches that put fries IN the sandwich.
