Still waiting to leave on vacation. We were planning to leave 2 hours ago. But the Boy-induced delay (he's JUST NOW packing, after composting, picking up dog poop, backing up his computer, etc.) gave me more time to clean more thoroughly for the housesitter.
The dogs are giving us these looks of oh-my-god-you-have-BETRAYED-us. Well, the coonhound is; the dalmatian is just giving us the look of I'm-pretty!-I'm-pretty!-therefore-PET-ME!!!
The cats are trying to figure out how to stow away in the suitcases.
Hillsborough, OH
No -ugh on the end. We ain't fancified enough for that.
But, no shit, you got married in Hillsboro? Nifty!
I was married by a judge. I figure I'm all legal and shit.
I just called Comcast and got my bill practically halved for 6 months. They just have these promotions sitting around, NOT TELLING YOU ABOUT THEM.
Wait, I didn't call. I used the LiveChat feature. I love that thing!
My parents' marriage certificate is...iffy. I think it's from one county but signed by the judge for another. Or something. But nearly 41 years and two kids later...
P-C, how long have you been a customer of Comcast?
My chat experience with them was dismal, but I shall try it to get the discount you got. What did you say to them??
yes, I am looking for the magic words , too. But they may never change cause I won't get phone with them . ( not their fault, but cell phone is so iffy around here that I need a more reliable land line)
I love the sound of rain on my skylight. Even if I have to go check my leaky door.

Two years in Ann Arbor, three years here.

The first time I tried a few months ago, the guy just told me I wasn't under a contract so I could do what I wanted. The end.

I said that I was considering switching to AT&T or Astound since they have lower prices and asked if they had any special offers for loyal existing customers. "Richard" got right on it. It took him a while, but he found a promotion that gives me $20 Internet and $25 cable for 6 months (not including DVR). That's even better than the $69.99 cable/Internet package that's on Comcast.com that I think is actually available to any existing customers, so point that one out if my sweet deal is related to how long I've been with them.
I can't believe I just saved myself $435 by being mildly assertive.
Thanks. My first 6 months promo ended recently and I downgraded to basic digital cable and internet and my bill is $130+! I have two cable boxes, as well.
Yeah, my bill was $150+. It's ridiculous. If a Customer Service person can't find you a better deal, I think you can get the $69.99 deal straight off of Comcast.com. There is nothing in the Terms and Services that restricts it to new customers. You just have to ask for it. They won't just lower all our bills as a courtesy even though we're all eligible.
