Given how my parents reacted to my physical pain or cranky, yeah, not surprising.

So glad to see all the links posted.

Just got back from a brisk walk. That's 3 days in a row. I like it, even if the weather I chose try this thing, less than stellar. Oof.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

There's an apartment complex named Essex Place where people keep putting black tape over the "Es"

Someone in my office building defaced the door to the elevator vestible down in the parking garage -- where it says "Push," they removed the "h."

Here comes the rain...

That picture is creepy! And amazing! Creemazing!

Here too. This is the view outside my front door.

Barb, did your mother summon the storm?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Yeah, I've already decided I have to fight against showing pain or going to the ER the week my father is here. It's very stressful doing either in front of him, and he's just here to check up on me anyway.

Glad you have your dad to help, though, msbelle!

Dude. Usain Bolt got another world record--19.19 in the 200m. Jamaica has been rocking the IAAF.

I know! I saw that last night. He set another record in the 100m just a day or so before. He's amazing.

That was a more impressive win than the 100, which was stupendous. He left the rest of the racers in his dust!

From the IAAF website:

his World Record sequence. That’s five now in his last five Olympic and World Championship finals – the 100m (9.69), 200m (19.30) and 4x100m (37.10) in Beijing and his 100m (9.58) and 200 (19.19) here.

I've decided what I really want for dinner: croissant with veggie spring roll filling baked inside. Unfortunately, I only know one place to get that and it's on the other side of the planet.

Pita & hummus, here I come.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I totally missed the big rain while inside the mall! Good news/bad news. In really good news, I was looking for a purse, and got a boring but OK one at Target, and then found a way better and only slightly more expensive one at DSW downstairs! So I returned the Target one.

Electromagnetic candy! - Stark

Co-worker (a lesbian) speculates that conservatives use the "gay marriage leads to people marrying their pets!" argument because secretly THEY (the conservatives) really want to marry their pets, and the only thing allowing them even the illusion of self-control is the fact that gay people can't marry.

Once we can, they'll be helpless before their innate desires, will mass-abandon their wives/husbands, and shack up with the family dog (or cat or whatever).

I told her that her logic was flawless.

Because books.

Pita & hummus, here I come.

I have been doing this for lunch so often, because lo, I am lazy, and it's easy and delicious. And then a peach or a bowl of cherries after.
