I totally missed the big rain while inside the mall! Good news/bad news. In really good news, I was looking for a purse, and got a boring but OK one at Target, and then found a way better and only slightly more expensive one at DSW downstairs! So I returned the Target one.
Co-worker (a lesbian) speculates that conservatives use the "gay marriage leads to people marrying their pets!" argument because secretly THEY (the conservatives) really want to marry their pets, and the only thing allowing them even the illusion of self-control is the fact that gay people can't marry.
Once we can, they'll be helpless before their innate desires, will mass-abandon their wives/husbands, and shack up with the family dog (or cat or whatever).

No, that was me, in full freakout mode after she CAME UP BEHIND ME AGAIN. She LOOMED. With the loominess! That I already told her made me incredibly crazy and she should understand because she's the EXACT SAME WAY.
I'm making disgusto burgers for dinner. I've earned them.
I've been living off hummus (and pita and spinach tortillas and carrots and tomatoes and peaches and plums) for the better part of the past two weeks. Too hot to get more creative.
I finished all of my work about 20 minutes ago, which means that this is the first time this week that I actually believe I am going to be finished with all of my work before I leave for vacation tomorrow morning.
I'm a little bouncy right now.
So what are people doing this weekend?
I'm working this Sunday, but that should be OK because most people have better things to do on Sunday mornings than work. They do wake up around 10 AM and go "Damn, I need to finish that project before Monday, I'd better get the computer fixed."
