Sarah Gronert Sparks a Whole New Gender Dispute in Pro Sports
She was born with both male and female genitalia and has had surgery to be certified female.
Schlomo Tzoref, the coach of Julia Glushko, another pro tennis player whom Sarah Gronert beat, says, “There is no girl who can hit serves like that, not even Venus Williams.
That's an interesting quandary. Certified woman is certified woman, I guess. But what an advantage she might have.
We had a thunderstorm a few hours ago -- it didn't last for very long, but it was very loud while it was here.
And now I'm looking at bright blue sky with tons of rain coming down.
I really hope it passes over by the time DH has to pick Dylan up - we took the bike today...
I wonder if there has ever been an era where people think, "Kids these days, they are so much better than they used to be."
I'm not sure if I count as "people," but I remember thinking that when I met Flea and JZ/Hec's kids.
Here comes the rain...
Here too. This is the view outside my front door.

Hey msbelle, I sent you an email with the names of some teachers and mentors as well as a principal I know in NYC who currently work or have worked in D75. Bonnie Brown is great, but sometimes a little hard to get a hold of. In addition, I recommend reaching out to Ronnie Shuster. She is the principal at P94M, a D75 school in Manhattan, and she is hooked up with the who's who in the DOE. Also, here is Advocates for Children's Guide to Special Ed for NYC. It's pretty good and has lots of contact info for great folks to know in the DOE. Lamson Lam, one of the District Family Advocates, is a friend of mine. His region is in Brooklyn, but he might know some good Manhattan folks to talk to: [link]
Y'ALL ARE AMAZING! Seriously, could this be more awesome. I am having a mini break, the day has been good, but not all smooth (that would be SHOCKING) and I am wound tighter than I actually realized - not surprising at all, huh. I may need to scrub a bathroom. My not being still is really unsettling to my dad though. As much as they don't know quite what to do with mac, I think seeing me all crazied up is harder for them.
