Marco: Do we look reasonable to you? Mal: Well. Looks can be deceiving. Jayne: Not as deceiving as a low down dirty... deceiver.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

I know, me too! I loved COSI. Also, I have a favorite memory of being there with my class. They did all this special stuff with us, one of which was a dealio on centrifugal (centripetal? I forget) force, where they sat a kid in a chair and spun him around. He was supposed to think he was stopped before he was, but they let us put our biggest awesomest nerd in the chair, and he was feeling for the force pushing him against the back of the chair and he beat the experiment. We were so proud of him.

I'm thinking about having my brother return the handheld video cam they bought for me and getting a Roomba instead. Any recs or suggestions? ETA: unless you guys will be entertained by endless videos of cats.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

I think Hec said something about wanting more cat videos.

Happy Birthday Jess! Theo! Rayne!

Happy Boxing Day!

Christmas went well despite the mini-crisis of my sister locking the present room with the key inside.

My brother guessed what his present was before opening since he was watching the A Christmas Story present scene at the same time.

This sort of thing is why I prefer Sunset Park to Chinatown in Manhattan.

I miss Sunset Park Chinatown.

So, will my neighborhood cafe be busy, as it's a Saturday morning? Or not busy, as people are out of town/nursing hangovers/playing with Christmas gifts?

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Happy Birthday, Jesse!!

For those of you who haven't seen that Colbert x-mas special (including me), here he and some friends (including Elvis Costello in a bear suit) sing "What's So Funny 'Bout Peace Love and Understanding?"
