Wash: Well, I wash my hands of it. It's a hopeless case. I'll read a nice poem at the funeral. Something with imagery. Zoe: You could lock the door and keep the power-hungry maniac at bay. Wash: Oh, no, I'm starting to like this poetry idea now. Here lies my beloved Zoe, my autumn flower, somewhat less attractive now she's all corpsified and gross...

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

So, will my neighborhood cafe be busy, as it's a Saturday morning? Or not busy, as people are out of town/nursing hangovers/playing with Christmas gifts?

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

For those of you who haven't seen that Colbert x-mas special (including me), here he and some friends (including Elvis Costello in a bear suit) sing "What's So Funny 'Bout Peace Love and Understanding?"

Happy birthdays!

We have run our three errands and are back home. Places were empty - which was why I wanted to go early - and I got the 2 things I wanted. Now on to cleaning and getting loads down to the basement.

Well I was only wanting things from one store and really only 2 things there - Christmas light organizer and ornament storage boxes.

Not enough money to do much more.

My goal by the first of the year is to get this place ready to be painted. That means as much as possible in downstairs storage, sold or given away, so that each room's stuff can be pulled easily into the middle of the rooms and covered with drop clothes.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Happy birthday, Jesse, Theo, and Rayne!

ETA: I just bought a wii—my first video console set-up. My sister bought me the wii Dance Dance Revolution for Christmas, so it seemed like a good idea. If everything gets in by New Years Eve there may be an addition to my NYE party plans. Drinking and DDR! I'll be sure to have ace bandages and a flipcam handy.

Thank you! The boyfriend got me Windows 7 for my birthday! Something I probably couldn't justify buying for myself, but I really wanted it, so it's the perfect gift! (And he gave me Torchwood Seasons 1 and 2 for Christmas!)

Happy birthday, Jesse and Theo!
