And people don't delete stuff to make room from their hard drives any more?

Really? I delete stuff all the time. The 320GB and 250GB drives in my computer are always running low on free space. The 1.5 TB drive is doing fine and the 1TB external drive is only half full though.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Pools removed them due to liability/insurance issues.

Huh. I think the municipal pools around here still have them. I will have to check.

Because books.

Pools here have them, too. And the one where we used to live in PA had just added a huge twisty slide before we moved.

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

And people don't delete stuff to make room from their hard drives any more?

Really? I delete stuff all the time.

I do, too. There were a few on that list that made me boggle.

I mean, the Victrola still plays as good as ever, so there's no need to replace it!

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

Thanks msbelle and Jesse.

The town I grew up in didn't have any stores by the time I was old enough to go to them. The grocery store was open until 9 pm and 6 pm on Sundays.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

A few years back a WFMU DJ was telling the story about how a listener (who I think was about 19) called her and asked what a 12" single was.

A 12" single is someone who should call me.

I miss diving boards.

74. Toys actually being suitable for the under-3s.

I don't even get this one.

I think it was in Mass., when I grew up.

Malls were definitely open on Sundays (even in Mass.), not package stores though.

Why are liquor stores called package stores in Mass? The first time I heard "package store" I thought we were going to UPS!

Are they referring to back when they didn't used to put choking warnings on toys with small parts?
