I used to be an early to right on time person. I try to be a bit later, partialy because I am often the last to leave.
I expected more morning for John Huges. Many of us a the library fell we need a film fest.

Ferris Bueller's Day Off is such a fave.
Sad about John Hughes.
I've bookmarked it, Kat! Thanks!
I love Penn & Teller's Bullshit.
Craigslist guy called while we were making dinner. I went to meet him. He ended up not buying what I was selling (laptop memory) because he didn't READ THE FUCKING AD and thought I was selling twice as much memory as I was.
So true obit about John Hughes: [link]
Definitely, Kat.
Although there were at least 2 very real moments in the Breakfast Club
"The kind of friends I'd have wouldn't mind."
And Brian's thing about feeling like a failure cause of shop.
As I've gotten older, I appreciate Carl the janitor more, too.
Carl's kinda deep, but the kids don't see it cause his job is so embarrassing.
I just heard from my mom about my aunt I mentioned here Perkins "Natter 64: Yes, we still need you" Aug 4, 2009 6:30:41 pm PDT , and they were able to go back to their house earlier today!
The town is still on alert, but they got a break with the wind, so the firefighters were able to get some control over the situation.
Oh boy do those cookies sound good, Kat. I will definitely try them soon.
I'm glad to hear about your aunt, Perkins. scary
That's great about your aunt, Perkins.
Carl's kinda deep, but the kids don't see it cause his job is so embarrassing.
I saw Carl as representing each of them. He could have been the jock or the criminal or the nerd or the outcast or the prince when he was in high school. We don't need to know which one as viewers because his position is that he understands all of them and he understands how little it's all gonna matter by the time those kids are his age. Any one of them could just as easily become a CEO as a janitor.
