"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Potatoes tossed with olive oil, garlic and fresh rosemary are now in the oven.

Feh. I always forget how much collards cook down. Dinner still smells delish though. (Collards sauteed with canellini beans and kielbasa.) But I think I'm going to need a side dish. Hmm.

Because books.

We had homemade pulled pork with BBQ sauce, corn on the cob, Caesar salad, and macaroni salad. Very yum, especially after an afternoon at the beach.

For an ocean girl, I do like Lake Ontario.

“Not dead yet!”

I just caught the end of Mamma Mia! I really never need to see Pierce and Colin in shiny spandex, ever again.

A Fortsas Hoax of 1840

Heh. I'd read that Leverage AU, but they'd probably have to work in a rare book collector who is oppressing someone with cute children.

I made an enormous spinach salad with tomatoes, bell peppers, cucumber, onion, alfalfa sprouts, edamame, garbanzo beans, and hard boiled eggs.

Yum. Note to self: more greens, less beans. But damn was that good. And now I've got that lingering burny sensation from all the hot pepper I put in. Nom.

Hey shrift, you interested in going to see Lucero on the 15th? Also I think Nicole and/or Ellen may be in town that weekend.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

I'm thinking about ordering in some barbeque chicken or maybe a pizza.

I was just looking to see what was on tv tonight, and I'm looking forward to seeing an older (2000) episode of Secrets of the Dead on one of the secondary PBS stations. I bought the book that the show is based on, but I've never seen the documentary. (It's called "Catastrophe," and it's about a worldwide weather phenomenon, possibly caused by an eruption of Krakatoa, in 535 that led to massive upheaval in cultures around the world, including the rise of Islam in the following century.)
