If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Hey shrift, you interested in going to see Lucero on the 15th? Also I think Nicole and/or Ellen may be in town that weekend.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

I'm thinking about ordering in some barbeque chicken or maybe a pizza.

I was just looking to see what was on tv tonight, and I'm looking forward to seeing an older (2000) episode of Secrets of the Dead on one of the secondary PBS stations. I bought the book that the show is based on, but I've never seen the documentary. (It's called "Catastrophe," and it's about a worldwide weather phenomenon, possibly caused by an eruption of Krakatoa, in 535 that led to massive upheaval in cultures around the world, including the rise of Islam in the following century.)

Unfortunately, that's VividCon weekend, so I will be in Rosemont. And missing a Fall Out Boy show that same day. Right after that, I'm off to San Francisco.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Right after that, I'm off to San Francisco.

Whee!

The potatoes came out fantastiche! I topped with a dollop of Russian yogurt. So good.

Now we're having very ripe white peaches. Summer food.

Electromagnetic candy! - Stark

Am in Atlanta. Gracious host is making chicken stir-fry with fresh veggies, and home-made apple sorbet (lactose-free for me, IntolerantMan). Mmmmmm...

Later: the Eagle for debauchery. Am I amused it's cooler here than back at home?

Very.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Thanks sarameg. I will enjoy perusing them later when the kids are out of my hair.

I love reading about everyone's dinner. Ours was a typical one for us, home made pizza made with TJs pizza dough, but always yummy.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

I had a weird craving, so I had Papa John's cheesesticks. I was at a friend's house a few weeks ago, I'd already eaten, so I didn't have any (go me in a show of uncharacteristic restraint), but I've been craving them ever since.

tomorrow will be making soup with black beans, chicken, tomatoes, brown rice and the rest of the pig's head stock.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

I made apple nut bread this morning. So I had a roll with jalopeno cheese spread and a slice of the apple nut bread for desert. A bit carborrific, but tasty.
