Xander: Look who's got a bad case of Dark Prince envy. Dracula: Leave us. Xander: No, we're not going to "Leabbb you." And where'd you get that accent, Sesame Street? "One, Two, Three - three victims! Maw ha ha!"

So yeah, today I got two awards (as a part of the teams) for a couple of projects which have been EATING MY BRAIN this past year. Wait, 2 years in one case. I've gotten a team award before that I was all, yeah, whatever, because it just needed warm bodies for data transcription. But these two? These I clutch to my bosom and go HELLS YEAH. I was a very important part of them. I've worked my ass off on them. These have been under the scrutiny of the gods.

Plus it was kinda cool that it was the guy who originally hired me who presented them (he was the department head at the time, he's directorate now.)

So I'm feeling a little preeny.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Preen on, sarameg. Awards as the result of hard work means the universe is doing something right!

Heater on El was set to full blast, as if it were -20 and not 60. I still feel like a rotisserie chicken.

Right on, sara!

Bought winter tires today. I guess I'm becoming a real Coloradan now...having summer and winter tires. Yikes.
