They aren't exaggerating when they say he knew everything about the operation. You could always count on him to ask you a question about something that you had no idea how he could possibly know about that! A frighteningly brilliant and agile mind. Hubble wouldn't be what it is without his fingers in every pie.
I know a German woman (German citizen, not German-American) who is very nice in most ways, but will go on about how great Jews are how much Jews have accomplished, and so on. And the thought occurs to me: I'll bet I'm getting a taste of what other races and ethnic groups in the U.S. get a whole lot more often.

Hah. I commented. When I saw her in Philly, it was a small venue, and I got to go up and say "My dad bought you coffee once!" I was a dork. I grew up listening to her. A Voice to Sing With made a big impression on 13 year old me.
