Back in the late 90s, I spent fall break in Boston. My parents were all OMG, stay OUT OF ROXBURY! (dad worked for Harvard later 60s/early 70s.) Of course, I ended up in Roxbury and didn't see the fuss.

My friend R. lives in Dorchestah, and it's a nice neighborhood. It apparently gets a little sketchy if you go more than a few blocks in some directions.

Thanks for the salary perspectives. I'm collecting all sorts of information because 5 of us are collectively going to the Big Boss to talk about our deteriorating work situation and I want to be as prepared as possible on all fronts.

I really liked McAdams in Wedding Crashers and that's exactly the sort of movie that encourages disposable women, and she wasn't. And her pictures (when she's brunette) always seem warm and charming. I will probably next see her in Sherlock Holmes.

Having dated someone living at home (and it was an issue but not for the reasons one might think), it doesn't have to be a negative, but it should be a red flag that is considered and discussed.
